Product detail
Work on this sword began in early 2023. Until its penultimate stage, it was a competition entry by Master Kanefusu Fujiwara 25. In 2018, his katana was named the finest sword of the year and was exhibited for two years at important Japanese shrines and temples. This sword was originally intended to enter the competition in 2024. Ultimately, due to unexpected circumstances, the master changed his mind and provided the sword to us. It is therefore clear that this is one of the highest-quality swords forged during this period.
The sword is crafted to the highest possible standard of Koshirae. In addition to the Shirazaya set (a sword with a simple hilt and a saya made of Japanese magnolia), the package includes a decorative Tsuka hilt (samekawa, tsukamaki, menuki, fuchi, seppa, kashira), an urushi saya with maki-e painting, Edo-period fittings, and accessories (kogai, kozuka) . The sword was registered with the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai under certification number 87143.
