Zanmai Hybrid Splash

The blades of the Hybrid Damascus gained many fans as expected. They look very decent and at the same time do not hide their craftsmanship perfection. You can observe this, for example, on a wooden handle, which passes smoothly into a circle from the hexagon. If someone was looking for a damask knife, in addition to Kasumi style, Hybrid Damascus was the main candidate.

Anyone who has visited Japan will confirm that the Japanese like proven and functional things. But they would not be Japanese if they did not try to constantly improve and perfect them. This is exactly the case with Hybrid Splash knives. These are based on the Hybrid Damascus line, but they surpass it with a beautiful drawing of their blades. Let's take a closer look at them.

Like its predecessor, the Hybrid Splash has 33 layers. They consist of a core of cobalt stainless steel VG-10 and 16 + 16 interlaced layers. The alternation of softer and harder materials gives the blade strength. Well, this obviously did not satisfy the creators, and with the help of a special press and the dexterity of their craftsmen, they played a wonderful theater on the blades. Whatever you imagine under Splash, you will find it there. Stepping a stone into a pond? Yes it is there. Bubbles penetrating from the diver to the sea surface? Yes exactly. It just depends on your imagination.

Mcusta Zanmai knives are known for their a edge called Hamaguri. Hybrid Splash is no exception. The thin tip and convex curves ensure ultimate sharpness and its very slow degradation. The blade hardening technology is also responsible for this, resulting in a hardness of 61 HRC.

The blade passes through a hexagonal ferrule made of nickel and silver alloy and a red decorative strip into the handle made of stabilized pakka wood. Here the angles change into curves, resulting in perfect ergonomics. The handle is decorated with a decent pin.

The Mcusta Zanmai Hybrid Splash knives will convince you not only with their appearance, but also with their perfect grip and great cutting performance.
