San Micarta

The popularity of Tamahagane San knives led us to expand the offer with their subvariant. While the proven blades have been retained, the pakkawood handles have been replaced with luxurious Micarta. The result is really worth it. The black handles borrowed from the flagship San Kyoto create a beautiful understated ensemble with the velvet blades.

Aesthetic experience is not the only thing you get in this case. San Mai blades have a VG-5 steel core that Kataoka san hardened to a respectable 61 HRC. It means you won't really be sharpening this knife very often. We have selected the following most commonly used types for you.
