Damask blades

KASUMI Damascus knife blades have a core made of the well-known VG-10 steel, also called V-Gold No.10 Super S / S, which contains carbon, chromium, vanadium, manganese, molybdenum, silica and cobalt. A special process has achieved a hardness of 60-61 degrees on the Rockwell scale. However, that would not be enough for success. As we have become accustomed to with Japanese knives, quality must be accompanied by an exceptional appearance. This is achieved in the KASUMI brand by a beautiful damask pattern on the blades of knives. The pattern was created by successively interleaving and forging 32 layers of softer and harder high-grade steel.
The beautiful cool blade together with the black stabilized wood handle represents the interplay of opposites so characteristic of Eastern cultures.
