Paring knives

These agile assistants have paring, peeling and  cleaning in their job descriptions.

Try peeling the onion or garlic with a large cooking knife. Only then will you appreciate the role of these inconspicuous knives. However, they are sharp enough to handle precise and delicate cuts.&Nbsp; They are  equally suitable for cleaning root vegetables  as well as for decorative cutting. The most common blade lengths are in the range of 6 to 10 cm.
