Product detail
The most important thing about each knife is the quality of its blade. Thanks to the attributes of MBS-26 steel, the blades are thin and provide maximum cut control. MASAHIRO employs craftsmen with 30 years of experience who manually grind each blade in a ratio of 7:3. This means that even when it is a double-sided grinding, the asymmetrical blade ensures greater cutting accuracy with less effort, and the blade design is up to 35% thinner than a conventional cutter, making the knife extremely sharp.
A professional knife must be efficient and practical. That is exactly what the creators of this series had in mind. The handles are made of maintenance-free synthetic material POM, which is characterized by its antibacterial properties. It is resistant to high temperatures and solvents. The rivets are precisely recessed and you will only notice them visually. Ergonomic is exemplary and the absence of any seams and cuts ensures the required hygienic parameters.
The knives of the MBS-26 High Carbon Stainless Steel series resemble European types of knives in appearance. They are intended mainly for those who liked this western type of knife. However, MASAHIRO incorporated the best of Japanese cutlery technology into the common form of the old continent. This is a typical example of the fact that when two do the same thing, the result may not be the same.
Try the MASAHIRO knife and you will be surprised by its absolute performance.

About producer
MASAHIRO is one of the largest Japanese companies in the field of professional kitchen knives and cutting equipment in the meat processing industry. Its share in the Japanese market is up to 80%. This giant in its field uses its own steel MBS-26. It is a very high-quality anti-corrosion steel with a high proportion of carbon /0.85 – 0.95%/. To achieve the best properties, MBS-26 is processed in three thermal processes, including so-called sub-zero treating using cryo chambers. The result is not only hard /HRC 58-59/, but also tough steel that does not require any maintenance.
