Chef knives
The chef's knife bears the Gyuto label in Japan. It is difficult to imagine a chef who would not have this very versatile knife in his hand. The knife also forms a kind of status of its owner.
With a slight exaggeration, we can say that there is a direct relationship between the "size" of the kitchen boss and the size of his knife. Just be careful, only a very experienced chef can work effectively with the longest blades.
Gyuto knives usually have a blade length of 18 to 30cm. We most often encounter nbsp; lengths between 20 and 24cm. The blade is wide at the heel and flows smoothly into the tip. This shape ensures that the knife is versatile.
Gyuto is not a typical Japanese knife. It was brought by the Americans, who taught the Japanese the fashion of steaks.
