Product detail
The city of Seki in Gifu Prefecture on the main island of Honshu is considered the main center of Japanese cutlery with more than 800 years of tradition. Thanks to favorable conditions (iron ore sand, peat and water resources), the first blacksmiths settled here as early as the beginning of the 13th century. Today, many important manufacturers of kitchen and outdoor knives operate here. Every year, the city holds a knife festival, at which individual masters exhibit their exceptional products. Each piece is a unique original. Getting to own them is not easy at all. It requires speed, determination and courage. The reward is masterpieces with the label Hand made, one piece only.
